Introduction to a Furture Vet

Hello , My name is Andrea Brisby , but I prefer to go by "Brisby". Brisby is just like Frisbee but replace the "F" with a Brisby. I am from Lawton, Oklahoma, but I plan on moving out of Oklahoma after I finish my schooling.

Attending the Unversity of Oklahoma has always been a dream of mine since 2nd grade so being here for four years, my time is coming to an end and it is bitter sweet; but more sweet then anything.  I am a fourth year senior, my major is Biology Pre-Vet. To show you guys my spark of intrest let me tell you about my trip to Exotic Animal Park . Being able to be within a few feet of these big animals brought joy to my heart.

Something cool about my major is that in the future I will be taking care of "YOU" my fellow classmates animals. So, if you ever get the chance to talk or ever meet me, you will know that your animal is in good hands.

I want to share with my classmates Two very special things in my life that keep me sane when things start to get rough. First let me introduce my My Daughter . Raising her from a young baby to one years old I have seen her grow so fast, that each memory was captured. If I did not have my daughter in my life I do not know where I would be at this very moment. Her name is Reign and if you ever want to babysit her, just let me know. She is the sweetest child you will ever come across. Her birthday was December 3rd.

The Second Special thing I want to share is my Boyfriend:

"back in the day"

(My Future) est. 2017

From Sophomore in High School to my Senior Year in College this young man by the name of "General" (yes this is his real name) has been by my side. He changed my life for the best and after 6 years of spending my life with this man, I can not wait to see what the future holds. He makes me feel like the prettiest girl in the world. I could go on and on about why he is so special in my life but I will stop here.

Overall, I am a bubbly, energized individual that loves to watch movies, eat waffle house, and spend time with my daughter and boyfriend.

That is really great that you want to be a vet, I love animals also. Thank you for sharing a picture of your daughter, she is precious! What a sweet little girl!

  3. I am such a fan of animals too, Brisby, and you will see that the mythology of India takes EXOTIC animals to a new extreme (flying elephants! giant turtles! and so on...)... and maybe you will find some stories to share with Reign as she grows. If you explore YouTube, you will find all kinds of versions of the old Indian stories for little kids in India today, and a lot of the videos are in English! Here is a cute video about Ganesha, for example: Bal Ganesh (English) - Kids Animated Movies ... millions of children in India have watched this one! And while Ganesha, as you can see, starts out with a regular human end, he does end up with that famous elephant head, so he is kind of a human and kind of an animal, all at the same time. Like I said: exotic! :-)

    1. I have noticed with this class they used animals in replacement of humans. to me i think it is more exciting/interesting here the story from an animal's perspective side. But i look forward to seeing what else this class has in store (in references to using animals as symbols).

  4. Hi Brisby!

I found it really cool that you and your boyfriend went to the Greater Wynnewood Exotic Animal Park. I went there with my family and a friend last Summer for my birthday and it was really fun. My best story from that trip was when we were by the cockatoo cages I went up to say "Hi" to one of them, only to be met with a quick and concise "Shut up!". I never thought I would have been verbally assaulted by an animal in my life, but I guess there is a first time for everything.

I'm also a senior except I won't graduate until December! That super cool that you're going to be a vet! I absolutely love animals so much! Almost more than people sometimes. Your daughter is also the cutest and I would love to watch her sometime!! That's so cool that you and your boyfriend have been together for long! It's always cool to see pictures of people when they first start dating to years later as they grow together.

  8. Hey Brisby! Nice to meet you. I am also senior this year, but not least because I am going to do two more years to earn my master degree my Management Information System (MIS). Management Information System is a mix of coding and business so I get to learn both. I do like pets but exotic ones such as lion, tiger, or leopard but those are illegal and they are all big cats.

  11. Hey Brisby!
Your introduction was so fun to read! Your personality and character really shines through your words. It is so clear that you love your daughter so much. I have five little nephews and one niece, so I can relate (at least a little bit) to seeing how fast kids grow up. I wish you every success and I hope you have a blast living life with your precious family!

I find your love for animals to be very sweet! It was pretty funny to look at the picture of your daughter and see the sweet puppy, I don't know how I didn't see it coming. I'm in a similar boat as you, I always planned to come to OU since I was a kid, and now I'm about to graduate and go out into the world, which is kind of scary! Best of luck to you!

  13. Hey Brisby,
It is super cool that you want to be a vet. I am a big animal lover and when I was little that was all I wanted to be. I have a dog and a hamster currently that are basically my children. The Exotic Animal Park you went to seems so amazing. It is crazy how such cool things are in your own state and you don’t know it. I will have to go visit.
